Sunwolves time in Super Rugby comes to an end

The Sunwolves time in Super Rugby has concluded. The Japanese franchise have officially played their final match in the competition with 2020 being the franchise’s final season.

Their was a project for the Sunwolves to play in Australia’s upcoming competition. The domestic tournament will include Australia’s Super Rugby franchises the Brumbies, Melbourne Rebels, Queensland Reds and the New South Wales Waratahs. Joining them is former Super Rugby side, the Western Force.

Due to travel complications the Sunwolves will not play in the Australian competition. A similar scenario stands in the way of Los Jaguares participating in a South African tournament.
