Cordero scores as Bordeaux blank Agen

Santiago Cordero was left out of Argentina’s World Cup squad but continues to make a strong impression in the Top 14. After scoring 10 tries in the Premiership with Exeter Chiefs last season, he has now scored three in six games for his new club Bordeaux Bègles.

His latest effort came in Bordeaux’s impressive 23-0 shutout of Agen on Saturday. Standing in at first receiver at taking the ball at a standing start, Cordero slipped between two forwards before stepping past the last defender and reaching out of the flanker’s desperate tackle to score under the posts.
