50th Cap for Cam Dolan

Cam Dolan will earn his 50th test cap on Wednesday. The USA Eagles N8 will do so playing in the clash of the Americas at RWC 2019 as the USA face Argentina in Kumagaya, Japan.

For Dolan the match is to be his third of the tournament and his 7th in Rugby World Cups. The 29-year-old is playing in his second RWC. In his first he was a replacement in all four matches against Samoa, Scotland, South Africa, and Japan.

Since making his test debut in June 2013 against Fiji Dolan has been a mainstay on the USA test roster. His first test start was against Georgia in November 2013 and from there he played six consecutive test matches at the back of the scrum.

Since RWC 2015 Dolan has dominated selection for the USA at N8. During this period he has played 29 test matches with 26 seeing him starting at N8, one at flanker and two playing N8 from the bench.

Not only did Dolan debut for the USA in 2013 but the same year saw him becoming a professional player.  His professional career began in the UK for the Northampton Saints. He would also play for the Cardiff Blues and Nottingham in addition to USA sides the San Diego Legion and New Orleans Gold.

In winning his 50th cap Dolan becomes the 11th Eagle to pass the mark. He joins captain Blaine Scully as the only active Eagle players to have 50 or more caps. Prop Eric Fry will earn his 48th against Argentina on Wednesday.
