Uruguay To Play Two RWC Warm-Up Matches in August

Uruguay is to play two RWC warm-up matches in August, the URU has confirmed. The two fixtures will be Los Teros’ final stage of preparation for RWC 2019 which begins with Japan vs Russia on Friday September 20.

Uruguay will compete in Pool D at RWC 2019. For the South Americans this corresponds to a similar group to that in which they experienced at RWC 2015 in England, and Wales. The one change from four years ago is that Uruguay will face Georgia in place of England.

The final preparations for the highly challenging pool in Japan will involve two home matches. Los Teros will play against a combined selection in the form of the Sudamérica XV on Saturday August 24, and then face Brazil six days later. Both matches are take place at the Estadio Charrúa.
