With this weekend seeing the Quarter Finals played in the European Champions Cup and Challenge Cup tournaments there is to be no regular round of competition in the Top 14, Aviva Premiership or the Guinness Pro 12. But due to the terrorist attacks in Paris earlier in the season there is to be a postponed Guinness Pro 12 fixture this weekend.
A postponed fixture will see Zebre hosting Glasgow in Parma on Friday. It is a fixture in which both teams have plenty to play for. Zebre are currently positioned above Benetton Treviso, making them a strong chance at qualifying for the 2016-2017 Champions Cup.
Scotland’s participation in the European showpiece club tournament is also yet to be determined. At present the Glasgow Warriors will qualify with Edinburgh just missing out. Edinburgh need to climb at least one spot to secure a place.
Points for the Glasgow Warriors in Parma this weekend are on offer and the Scottish city side is in search of the maximum five points. Succeeding in doing so will lift the Warriors from fourth to third position, overtaking Welsh region, the Scarlets.
Involved for the Scots will be USA second-rower Greg Peterson and USA born, Scottish international Tommy Seymour. On the bench for the homeside will be Argentine loosehead prop Bruno Postiglioni.
