- World Rugby has confirmed the qualification process for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games.
- A 35-man Brazil roster will assemble in São José dos Campos to prepare for the World Rugby Junior Challenger in Chile.
- Brazil has also confirmed a roster for the South American Games.
- The first round of the 2026-2027 Top 14 season had highs and lows for the Americas. Santiago Arata featured in Castres win over Vannes. Francisco Gorrissen played flanker, prop Santiago Medrano was yellow carded and Matías Alemanno made his Top 14 debut.
- Justo Piccardo had a superb try assist for Montpellier against Pau. The Canadian in waiting, Tyler Duguid was also a starter as was Domingo Miotti who has defected from Los Pumas to Italy. Gonzalo García made hit debut for Pau and joined Facundo Isa and the returning Santiago Grondona in the 23.
- Chile’s Diego Escobar was a replacement for Racing 92 who were humbled 64-5 by Bordeaux.
- Oyonnax and Provence are joined leaders of the Pro D2. The newly qualified USA prop Charlie Abel featured for Oyonnax this past round as did former Puma Lucas Mensa. Colombia’s Andrés Zafra and Canada’s Tyler Ardron started for Provence in the road win over Colomiers.
- The rumors of Leinster recruiting Felipe Contepomi as new head coach continue to grow. Contepomi will leave his post as Los Pumas head coach after Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia.
