- Argentine players have been criticized for reacting to Angus Gardner’s decision not to award a Penalty Try in the 80th minute against England. World Rugby Law 9.13 and Law 8.3 are clear that it was a Penalty Try. The veteran Australian has refereed Pumas test matches since 2016 but has never used the Spanish Language. There is no written law on the World Rugby website or in its official documents mandating that test matches must be refereed in English.
