Peñarol Make Light Work of Cobras on Monday Showdown

Peñarol made light work of Os Cobras in the Monday showdown. The Uruguayans were 57-23 winners in a match that was over long before half-time. Discipline haunted Os Cobras who conceded two second-half yellow cards. The match ended with a Brazilian try. It was the second of the match compared to nine scored by Peñarol.

  • Hooker Sebastián Pérez and center Alfonso Perillo Albarracin scored two tries each.

  • An early scare saw Peñarol’s Bautista Viero off for an HIA in the 8th minute.

  • Peñarol move above Los Dogos into second position in Super Rugby Americas 2025. This may only last a matter of days; however, as Peãnrol have a bye this coming weekend while Los Dogos face Los Tarucas.
