| NOTES |
- The Monday match falls after Selknam and Los Pampas lost to higher places sides over the weekend.
- Peñarol can move from 3rd to 2nd with a win. This would take them above Los Dogos.
- Os Cobras have 4 competition points. Second to bottom are Los Tarucas on 23 points.
- Os Cobras’ two wins over Peñarol were in 2024. They were also Peñarol’s only wins in SRA 2024.
- Brazil may go for new blood in 2025 such as Renato Santos, Rodolfo Martins, Wilson Menezes, João Arraez, and Vicente Galvão.
- Both teams will field Argentines. Peñarol players Juan Francisco Aguirre, Bautista Viero, Tomás Di Biase, Bautista Farise, and Bautista Vidal are Argentines as are Cobras players Javier Coronel, Fernando Luna, Manuel Todaro, Lisadro Urrejola and Augusto Guillamondegui.
- Portuguese winger Manuel Cardoso Pinto will be a Peñarol replacement.
| PREDICTION |
The CBRu view Os Cobras as a feeder team for Brazil’s Men’s test team. For this reason there are fewer players on the roster compared to Yacare. This difference enables more Brazilians and Brazilian eligible players the opportunity to play Super Rugby Americas. In past campaigns this has held back the level of the team and this has repeated in 2025. Peñarol have had a relatively solid season with many boxes ticked off. The scrum has been a concerning point, however. Good conditions are forecast which point to a good evening for the Uruguayans. Peñarol are favorites to win at home on Monday.
