Dogos Show Class in Home win over Yacare

Los Dogos showed class in a bonus point home victory on Friday. Los Cordobeses overcame Yacare in a comfortable victory. The Paraguayan side fought back hard to run in three tries in the final minutes to secure an unlikely bonus point. Los Dogos claimed the maximum five points and now move above Peñarol to occupy second position.

• Los Dogos held a 39-10 lead in the final quarter.
• Four of Los Dogos five tries were scored by backs. Three of them were scored by outside backs.
• Mateo Soler’s try was the best as he hit a line to latch on to a pass from Juan Bautista Baronio.
• Baronio scored 12 points to take his season’s total to 102 points. He is the leading SRA 2025 point-scorer.
• Three of Yacare’s four tries were scored in the final 10 minutes of the contest.
• The Paraguayan side’s tries were all scored by Argentines. They saw the team playing with flair in search of competition points.
• Los Dogos now have 30 competition points and Yacare have 20. This places Los Dogos 1st and Yacare 5th. Los Pampas can reclaim top spot with a win over Os Cobras in Brazil on Saturday.
