Major League Rugby Match Coming to Tennessee

Major League Rugby (MLR) will take place in Tennessee for the first time as the Chicago Hounds face the New England Free Jacks in Nashville in April. The relocated fixture sees a Rugby World Cup 2031 candidate city officially introduced to professional rugby.

Nashville, Tennessee is one of twenty-seven cities confirmed by World Rugby as having submitted signed Letters of Intent to continue in the 2031 host city selection process.

Branded as the the Music City Rugby Showdown, the Chicago Hounds vs New England Free Jacks match will be played at GEODIS Park on Sunday, April 19. GEODIS Park is the largest soccer-specific stadium in the United States and Canada. The venue has a seating capacity of over 30,000.

The match will be a ween four MLR fixture and it is to be a rematch of both the 2024 and 2025 MLR Eastern Conference Championships.
