Pumas Get Boost ahead of Scotland Showdown

Los Pumas have received a boost ahead of their upcoming test match assignment against Scotland. Having missed the opening match of the UK tour through injury, Pedro Rubiolo returns to the roster. Rubiolo comes in for Bautista Pedemonte who returns to his club in France.

Rubiolo is Felipe Contepomi’s first-choice tight head second-rower. That is to say he is the regular starting player in the 5 jersey. With him having picked up an injury while playing for the Bristol Bears, Contepomi made an adjustment by moving Marcos Kremer from flanker to second-row against Wales.

Argentina were 52-28 away winners over Wales in the opening fixture of the tour. The win on Sunday at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff saw Los Pumas setting a new record for Argentina’s highest winning margin over Wales and also for the most points scored by Argentina in a test match against Wales.

Los Pumas face Scotland on Sunday, November 16 at Murrayfield in Edinburgh. Game two of Argentina’s UK tour will kick-off at 12:10pm Argentine time. Felipe Contepomi will name his team to face Scotland on Friday.
