Ben Landry has signed a new contract with the Seawolves that will keep him in Seattle through the end of the 2023 Major League Rugby season. The 30-year-old second row powerhouse ended a 14-month hiatus from the sport when took the pitch at Starfire Stadium against San Diego in May. He played seven games including two starts on the blindside flank.
Landry follows fellow lock Rhyno Herbst in extending his stay at the club, his third in MLR. After starting with the Glendale Raptors in 2018, Landry spent one season with Ealing Trailfinders in England before playing once for the New England Free Jacks in 2020.
The length of the contract puts Landry in contention for a return to Eagles honors ahead of Rugby World Cup 2023. He played three matches during the 2019 tournament in Japan, bringing his career total to 25 test caps since his 2016 debut against Canada.
