Match Preview – England vs Canada – 3rd Test

Canada will have one more crack at England when the two sides bring their three-match series to a close on Saturday. England have been the dominant side so far, recording two one-sided results over a very inexperienced Canadian side. The game will be the second part of a double-header at Twickenham with kickoff following the conclusion of the men’s match between England and Samoa.

England have changed up half of the forward pack with Vickii Cornborough back into the front row and a new second row pairing in Abbie Scott and Poppy Cleall. Rowena Burnfield replaces Jo Brown on the blindside flank.

The backs see the return of outstanding wing pair Jess Breach and Abby Dow with Danielle Waterman moving back to her preferred fullback role. In the midfield there is a first start for Lagi Tuima who made her test debut off the bench on Tuesday.

Janna Slevinsky will make her first start for Canada after making an impact off the bench on Tuesday. Pam Buisa moves to No 8 to make room with Cindy Nelles ruled out with injury. Otherwise the starting forwards are unchanged.

Emily Belchos is fit to resume in the midfield after being a late scratch at The Stoop, and there is a third scrumhalf in three games as Justine Pelletier is given an opportunity to start. 18-year-old Courtney Holtkamp returns on the bench.

Kickoff is set for 5:40pm local time, 12:40 Eastern, with broadcasts available on Sky Sports Arena (UK), TSN Go (Canada), and The Rugby Channel (USA). There will be a replay for Canadian viewers on Sunday evening at 10:30pm Eastern on TSN 2.
