Capó Ortega Signs New Deal with Castres

Rodrigo Capó Ortega has signed a new deal with Castres. The additional one year contract will see the Uruguayan player completing 16 seasons at the French Top 14 club.

Having arrived in 2002 Capó Ortega has played over 350 appearances for the Tarn club. Now aged 36 his new contract will enable him to see out his playing career.

He appeared in the 2013 and 2014 Top 14 finals, winning the former of the two. He played his final test match for Uruguay in 2014, some 14 years after his first. His missed out on Rugby World Cup 2015 due to the birth of his child. This past November he played for the French Barbarians, defeating Australia.
