The South American C Championship match schedule has been confirmed. The 2016 edition of the tournament will bring together the senior men’s teams from Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala and Panama.
The Four Nations Championship of Central America will be played at Doroteo Gamuch Flores in Guatemala City from December 04-10. The format will see the teams ranked based on their final positions from the 2015 tournament. As such they are seeded in the order of Guatemala, Costa Rica, El Salvador and Panama.
The opening round on December 04 will see 1st vs 4th and 2nd vs 3rd. Guatemala will host the bottom ranked Panama while Costa Rica and El Salvador will battle it out in the other match.
Round two will see the two winners from round one play in one match. The two losers will contest the remaining round two fixture. The Final and Bronze Final will be played on Saturday December 10.
The winner of the South American C Championship will advance to repechage. Awaiting the winner will be Ecuador who finished bottom of the 2016 South American B Championship.
