Americas Rankings – August 22 2016

There have been changes to the Americas Rankings following international competition this weekend. The updated Americas Rankings – August 22 2016 sees Argentina dropping slightly due to having lost away to South Africa on Saturday.

Before the fixture Argentina had 80.20 points and was 9th in the world. Either side of Argentina were Scotland on 80.44 points and Fiji on 75.49. In the Americas the second placed side before the Rugby Championship was the USA on 65.60.

Argentina’s late defeat by the Springboks means that rather than rising three places Los Pumas edge closer to Fiji in 10th. Argentina’s updated ranking of 80,12 points represents a marginal loss of nine hundredths. The teams will meet again this coming Saturday in Salta, Argentina.
