Brazil rise one spot in World Rankings

As a result of Zimbabwe’s loss against Uganda on Saturday, Brazil has risen one spot in the World Rankings. Now occupying 35th position Brazil sees itself sitting one additional place above Paraguay who remain unchanged in 39th position.

Uganda’s tremendous victory in the African Cup sees the Cranes rising from 50th to 42nd in the world. Zimbabwe, meanwhile, have dropped from 33rd to 36th place to fall below Brazil.

Next up for Zimbabwe will be a tough assignment. The Sables will face Namibia on August 06. Should Zimbabwe complete an upset win this would see them rising back above Brazil in the world rankings.

The result will have no impact on Brazil’s ranking in the Americas. Instead os Tupis will remain unchanged on 50.75 points. Sitting between Chile and Paraguay, the Brazilians are ranked 6th in the Americas.
