Vallejos signs for Nevers

Tomás Vallejos Cinalli will play for Nevers in the 2016/17 season. The former Pumas lock joins the French Fédérale 1 side from Aix-en-Provence in PRO D2, who he joined mid-season after a spell as a medical joker with Stade Français during the World Cup.

At 31 years old Vallejos has enjoyed a a colorful career since signing his first professional contract with Italian club Crociati in 2007. He moved to the Aviva Premiership with Harlequins in 2010, where he stayed until 2012. Scarlets were next for a few months, followed by the Pampas and then on to the Coca-Cola West Red Sparks in Japan. The globetrotting continued in a return to Italy with Benetton Treviso for the 2014-15 season before switching to France the following year.

Vallejos made his test debut for Argentina at the 2011 World Cup and made six international appearances altogether, all as a replacement. His final Pumas match came against the same side he debuted against – Georgia – in June of 2013.
