Harvey returns to action in London

Women’s World Cup star Magali Harvey will make her return to Canada colours at the London Invitational 7s tournament that kicks off on May 20. The 2014 IRB Women’s Player of the Year has been a notable absentee from the past three events on the HSBC Sevens Series, but has now recovered from injury to take a spot in the Maple Leafs side named by coaches Sandro Fiorino and John Tait.

Also back from long-term absences are Elissa Alarie and Natasha Watcham-Roy, who join a host of Series regulars looking to earn a spot for the final HSBC event in Clermont on May 28 and more importantly the Rio Olympics. Brampton’s Ashley Gordon is the only member of the team named that has yet to make an appearance on HSBC circuit.
