Lemoine Talks to World Rugby about the RWC

World Rugby caught up with Los Teros Head Coach Pablo Lemoine who gave his thoughts on the development of his team and the ultimate goal of making his country proud of the team at the upcoming Rugby World Cup.

Lemoine told World Rugby ”the focus is not on winning, losing or drawing but on setting the bar high for the colors of Uruguay, the identity of the national team and everything it represents. For this reason how we play on the field is so important. It is so our country can understand the effort we are putting in”.

The big picture for Lemoine is about leaving a lasting impression. ”Our focus is on rugby. The World Cup can give us credibility, confirmation that we are on the right track.”

Uruguay is to play in the global event for the first time since 2003 and is the only competitor not to have competed at Rugby World Cup 2011 in New Zealand.
