Canada make changes to Pan Am rosters

Both the men’s and women’s Canadian sevens sides have made roster changes a week out from the Pan Am Games in Toronto.

As stated previously, Patrick Parfrey was withdrawn to participate in the CRC, while Pat Kay is out as he continues to recover from a minor injury. Phil Mack steps in to replace Kay, while Belleville Bulldogs and Queen’s University loose forward Matt Mullins makes his senior debut having previously played with the Maple Leafs development side.

Bianca Farella has dropped out of the women’s side, with Newmarket native Nadia Popov of the Aurora Barbarians club named as a replacement.

The tournament takes place over two days from July 11-12 at the Exhibition Stadium in downtown Toronto. The men’s side are in Pool B with Argentina, Brazil, and Guyana. The women will face Colombia, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and USA in their round robin bracket.
