Pumitas named to face Scotland

Los Pumitas Head Coach Nicolás Fernández Lobbe has named his match day roster for Wednesday’s World Rugby Under 20s Championship group match against Scotland. The teams will play in a final round fixture before the competition enters the knock-out stage.

The starting linup announced by Fernández Lobbe features eight changes from the team that gave New Zealand a mighty scare in a 32-29 defeat. The modifications include an all-new front-row in addition to Enzo Ocampo and Ernesto Olmedo both also named to start in the forwards. In the backs Tomás Granella, Juan Cruz Mallía and the impressive fly half Domingo Miotti have all been named to start.

Los Pumitas are coming off two narrow losses with Ireland and New Zealand having beaten the South Americans by scorelines of 18-16 and 32-29 and doing so by way of late penalties. The fixture against Scotland will be important to determine seedings for the remaining matches in the tournament.
