Seawolves grab Tommy Clark from Dallas

The Seattle Seawolves have added some local talent to their back row for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. Tommy Clark was born in Samoa but raised in Tacoma. He arrives as a free agent having previously been selected by the Dallas Jackals in the inaugural Collegiate Draft.

Clark comes with an impressive resume. He played for the USA u20 side in 2017 and was a two-time Collegiate All-American select with the AIC Yellow Jackets. In 2020 the 23-year-old was nominated for the Rudy Scholz Award as one of the nation’s best collegiate players.

Selected 9th overall in the Collegiate Draft, Clark joins the 5th overall pick Aaron Matthews and 17th pick Nick Taylor in Seattle. The 6’4″ (1.93m) athlete will add lineout height and dynamic ball carrying to the Seawolves back row at either blindside flanker or No8.
