Old Glory sign Australian front rower James King

Old Glory DC have announced the signing of front rower James King for the 2021 Major League Rugby season. The 24-year-old arrives from Hong Kong, where he has spent the past season playing for Valley RFC in the Saxo Markets Premiership.

King was born in Greenwich, Connecticut, but grew up in Australia. He played for Eastern Suburbs in Sydney’s Shute Shield where he began as a loosehead prop before focusing on hooker. It’s the No2 shirt that he wore for Valley and will play for DC.

With Mo Katz re-signed just days ago Old Glory now have two hookers confirmed for the 2021 campaign. USA international Mike Sosene-Feagai is currently in New Zealand and will play for Auckland in the Mitre 10 Cup. It remains to be seen if he will return for a season MLR season.
