Martín Cancelliere Joins Los Ceibos

There are now two professional Cancelliere’s in Argentina. Hindú fullback Martín Cancelliere has joined Los Ceibos. The move sees history made as for the first time brothers are to play for two separate Argentine professional rugby teams.

The 27-year-old, Martín Cancelliere is the older of the brothers. Sebastián Cancelliere is one year younger, yet has been a professional player for Los Jaguares for two years. He has ten caps for Argentina, the most recent having been in August 2019 against South Africa.

Martín Cancelliere is the fifth back-three player signed to Los Ceibos. He joins Juan Bautista Daireaux, Tomás Cubilla, Facundo Cordero, and Leopoldo Herrera.

Los Ceibos will make their debut in the Súper Liga Americana e Rugby (SLAR) on March 06 at home against the Olímpia Lions. The venue for the fixture is yet to be confirmed.
