Selknam to sign former Pumas flanker Rodrigo Bruno

Selknam are yet to unveil their roster for the Súper Liga Americana de Rugby, with back row Ignacio Silva the only confirmed player for the Chilean franchise. A squad of 35 senior players will be named soon according to Chile Rugby president Cristian Rudloff, with six to be from Argentina.

One of those will be former Pumas flanker Rodrigo Bruno. The Villa María native has represented Argentina in five tests, the last as a replacement in the 2012 win over France at Córdoba.

Now 32 years old, Bruno recently returned from Europe after spending the 2018-19 season playing No8 for Lazio in the Italian Top 12. He previously played two seasons for the Pampas XV in the Vodacom Cup.

Rudloff says that Selknam will have 25 Chilean players as well as two each from Fiji and Tonga. The team will be led by current Cóndores coach Pablo Lemoine.
