Mexico to play ARCh warm-up against Capital Selects

Mexico will kick start their Americas Rugby Challenge preparations with a match against the Capital Selects on Saturday, July 27. The game will be hosted at La Salle Esmeralda on the outskirts of Mexico City. Kickoff is set for noon with admission free.

Las Serpientes are not participating in the Rugby Americas North championship this season, with this match currently their only scheduled international. The 2019 ARCh will take place between August 25-31, hosted by Colombia. Mexico finished 3rd in 2018, winning one of three matches.

The team recently completed a three-day training camp with 30 players in attendance. Among the notables were experienced prop Max Douek, dynamic flanker Gonzalo Pons, and powerful winger Fharid Samano. There are three uncapped players included – Carlos Vinas, Marco Gonzalez, and Ricardo Ancira.
