Brazil to stream Māori game live on Twitter

The Brazilian Rugby Union (CBRu) has reached an agreement with Twitter that will see their November 10 match against the New Zealand Māori broadcast live across the social media platform. Commentary in both English and Portuguese will be accessible.

Also broadcasting the match will be South American cable channel SporTV and Sky Sports in New Zealand. It’s an historic agreement that will see Brazilian rugby reach a record audience, with the Māori match also a first for the emerging nation.

The game will be played at the iconic Estádio do Morumbi in São Paulo. Opened in 1960, it is the home of Brazilian soccer giants São Paulo FC and has a capacity of just over 67,000. Among the entertainers who have held concerts there are Madonna, U2, and The Rolling Stones.

Tickets for the match are now available online.
