The Cup of Nations 2017 has come and gone. Played in just over one week Chile, Kenya, Hong Kong and Russia each played one-another in test match rugby. The highly demanding schedule saw teams forced to select carefully as having the strongest line-up start all matches was simply not possible.
Chile started well with a win over Kenya. In game two they were disappointed to fall short of their expectations against Hong Kong. In the final fixture they faced Russia. The Bears entered the match having beaten both Kenya and Hong Kong in prior matches.
