Pro D2 – Week 8 Preview

Week 8 of the Pro D2 is underway. In the opening game of the round Dax have home advantage against Colomiers. Playing fly half for Dax is Uruguay’s Felipe Berchesi. On the opposition bench covering fly half is Sébastien Poët. Starting at hooker is Agustin Costa Repetto.

Five matches are to be played on Friday. The first of which sees Béziers hosting Carcassonne. Former Pumas hooker Santiago Iglesias Valdez starts up front. Damian Panizzo will cover second-row for Carcassonne from the bench.

In Paris Massy take-on Mont de Marsan. The visitors are taking two Argentine props with them. Jerónimo Negrotto will start at Tight Head while Carlos Muzzio will feature as a replacement.

On the Mediterranean coast Joël Sclavi is looking for game time. He has been named on the bench for Charente who play away to Narbonne. Lucas Caneda misses out following his red card last weekend.

Also playing on Friday will be Vannes at home to Montauban. The fixture is to feature a USA vs Argentine battle. Eric Fry starts at Loose Head prop for Vannes. Meanwhile the starting Tight Head for Montauban is to be Victor Damian Arias.

Friday’s final fixture is to be played in central France. Never have home advantage against Grenoble. Former Pumas center Horacio San Martín starts for the home side.

On Saturday Bayonne host Biarritz in the battle for Basque Country supremacy. Line-ups for the fixture will be named on Friday afternoon. Sunday’s match between Aurillac and Perpignan will have the teams confirmed on Saturday.
