June 17 match between Brazil and Chile called off

Brazil are back down to only two tests in June after a proposed match against South American rivals Chile on June 17 was called off. No reasons were given for the cancellation.

It’s the second match that has been scrapped with late notice for the Tupis. The Cook Islands were due to tour the Americas but funding issues forced the Pacific Island nation to pull out, leaving Brazil to organize replacement match against Romania, though it will require a significant overseas journey to Bucharest. With less than two weeks before the Chilean match was due to be played it looks as though Brazilian players and fans will be left in the cold next weekend.
