González Iglesias Replaces de la Fuente

Santiago González Iglesias will start against the Western Force, replacing Jerónimo de la Fuente. The change has been made for tomorrow’s Super Rugby match in Buenos Aires.

The Rosario midfielder fractured his right thumb in training. The incident sees him out of rugby with immediate effect. He had been named at inside center for Saturday’s home fixture. Instead González Iglesias will start. Initially González Iglesias had missed out on making the 23 altogether.

The revised lineup now sees González Iglesias playing outside Juan Martín Hernández. González Iglesias will form a centers pairing with Matías Moroni. It is a new-look combination this year.

The extent of de la Fuente’s injury will become known over coming days. Such an injury usually requires a recovery period of six weeks. This being the case then he will miss Argentina’s June Internationals against England and Georgia.
