DTH van der Merwe’s time at Scarlets may be coming to a close but he is determined to end his stay in Wales on a high. The Canadian winger scored a hat-trick of tries in the 51-5 win over Benetton Treviso on Saturday, with one long range solo effort coming in the 16th minute. He has now scored seven tries in 16 outings this season for the club, bringing his total to 15 tries in 35 appearances over the past two seasons, with his career Pro 12 totals at 48 tries in 102 games.
