Video: MacGinty Scores 20 points as Sale Sharks push Exeter Chiefs

Eagles fly half AJ MacGinty kicked 20 points for the Sale Sharks on Saturday. The northern English club relied heavily on MacGinty and came very close to knocking-over last year’s finalists on their home turf.

MacGinty played the match at no 10. He opened the scoring with two early penalties and converted Denny Solomona’s intercept try. With it the Sale Sharks held a 13-0 lead. The Exeter Chiefs fought back but were pushed until the end as MacGinty continued to strike blows, landing a total of six penalties in the match.

The final score was 30-25 in favor of Exeter. The result sees the Chiefs continuing to press towards the Semi Finals, occupying 2nd position. Sale sit in 10th.
