Final Rosters for Vancouver 7s

The final squads for the HSBC Sevens Series event at BC Place in Vancouver this weekend have been named. An unusual number of changes have been made from the teams that took part in Las Vegas, with several injuries taking their toll on several squads. Among those not taking part this weekend are Australian captain Sam Myers, England and Great Britain playmaker Ollie Lindsay-Hague, Fijian stepper Joeli Lutumailagi, France veteran Vincent Inigo, Samoan leader Fa’alemiga Selesele, Scottish forward Scott Riddell, and South African star Justin Geduld.

Of the notables added this week are Canadian forward Matt Mullins and a pair of highly rated Scots in Hugh Blake and Glenn Bryce. Wales have recovered their captain Luke Treharne and added World Cup midfielder Cory Allen, while New Zealand have also upgraded with the return of skipper Scott Curry from injury. France will hand debuts to Josias Daoudou and Jean-Teiva Jacquelin, with further HSBC Series newcomers in Russia’s Timur Urazakov and Samoan wing Elisapeta Alofipo.

The return of Mullins to the Canadian roster sees Luke Bradley named as 13th man and Caleb Jordan missing out on the tournament this weekend. Chile have been forced into one change with Vicente Ayarza replacing Bernardo Moltedo in the main squad. They have opted not to call a replacement to fill the 13th man role. Both Argentina and the USA remain unchanged.

Saturday’s matches kick off at 9:30am PT, 12:30pm ET. All games will be streamed live by World Rugby.
