Huete Makes it Back-to-Back Tries from Chileans in the Top 14

History has been made in France. Following last weekend’s try from Ramón Ayarza a second Cóndores player scored this weekend. Scoring a second half try yesterday was Pablo Huete. As such it made it back-to-back tries from Chileans in the Top 14.

Huete went over in the 47th minute. His score was the second of three for Bayonne who took on heavyweights Clermont away. The Central French side proved to be superior, running out 46-27 winners.

The Chilean second-rower showed impressive pace in scoring. He chased a kick to the left wing and had the speed and skills required to touch the ball down just before it went dead in goal.

Both Huete and Ayarza remain playing for Bayonne rather than Chile at present. The Basque club is rock-bottom of the Top 14 on 20 competition points. The 12th placed Lyon has 33 points. Bayonne, in other words, is 14 points in relegation. Eight rounds remain for Bayonne to survive.
