Kish returns for Canada in Sydney

Olympic Bronze medalist Jen Kish returns to the Canadian lineup for the first time since leading the team in the historic event in Brazil as Canada prepare to resume the HSBC Sevens Series in Sydney this coming weekend. Fellow Olympian Ghislaine Landry will retain the captaincy, however, with Kish instead focusing entirely on individual performance after recovering from injury that ruled her out of Dubai.

Sara Kaljuvee drops out to make room for Kish in the only change to the squad that finished 6th in Dubai. After an unbeaten Day One the team faded in the head on Day Two, something the team will look to address in Sydney by arriving a week early to prepare for similar conditions in the Australian summer. Temperatures for the weekend are expected to top 30 degrees Celsius.

Canada are drawn in Pool A along with New Zealand, France, and Papua New Guinea. All matches will be streamed live by World Rugby.
