Brazil to Wear New Uniforms in Americas Rugby Championship

Brazil is to wear new uniforms in the Americas Rugby Championship, it was confirmed by the CBRu. The  new home and away uniforms retain the colors used in 2015 but not have Tupi designs under the sleeves, running down to the inside bottom of the shirts.

The new designs are to be used for international competition throughout 2016. Starting with the Americas Rugby Championship this weekend the men’s and women’s teams will also use them in the World Sevens Series, Olympic Games and the South American A Championship.

Prior to the kick-off of the Americas Rugby Championship athletes traveled to a Tupi tribe to have the new uniforms officially blessed. The same ritual took place previously with Brazilian international Gustavo Albuquerque adamant that it will aid the team to achieve more results on the field and to be happy.
