USA South Battles Past Bahamas – Full Match Video

This past weekend, the USA South Panthers traveled south to the Bahamas for the NACRA North Division promotion/relegation match. Having finished at the bottom of the Championship group in 2015 the Panthers were forced into a playoff against the Bahamas whom won the Cup (Tier II) group in 2015.

USA South used a big second half push to win the match 37-18, but the match was not without drama. The Panthers took a narrow 17-13 lead into halftime only to see the Bahamas take a 18-17 lead shortly into the second half. USA South regrouped and scored 20 unanswered points to close out the match.

With the victory, USA South retains their place in the top division of the NACRA North Division alongside defending champs Mexico and the Cayman Islands. The Bahamas head back to the Cup Division alongside Bermuda and Turks & Caicos.

The NACRA Rugby Championship is an annual rugby competition for Tier III nations. USA South competes in the championship and is one of the few remaining active representative sides in the United States.
