Old Christians and Old Boys to contest Uruguayan Final

Uruguay’s First Division Final will take place tomorrow, Saturday September 12 at Old Christians Club who are to receive Old Boys in what is a classic rivalry in Uruguayan rugby.

Old Christians Club reached the final by defeating powerhouses and last year’s winners Carrasco Polo at the Semi Finals stage by 21-10. Old Boys claimed the remaining spot in the Grand Final by outclassing Paysandú side Trébol by 40-15. Both Semi Finals were played at the home of Uruguayan rugby, Estadio Charrúa in Montevideo.

With Old Christians and Old Boys meeting to determine who will be the 2015 champion the final has been termed the Classic of Colleges and is a repeat of the final from two years ago in which Old Boys were crowned national champions.

2015 is the third consecutive year in which Old Christians have reached the final and this time the club has no interests in losing.

NsTv will broadcast the match which is scheduled to kick-off at 4pm.
