Canada complete Senior Men’s schedule

The details of Canada’s run-in to the Rugby World Cup have been finalised with the announcement that their final match, against Fiji, will be at The Stoop. The 14,800 capacity stadium, located a half-mile south of England’s base at Twickenham, is the home field of Aviva Premiership club Harlequins. This will be the first time a full test match has been played at the field.

Canada’s impressive eight-match build-up begins with the Pacific Nations Cup, starting on July 18. They will play tests against Japan, Tonga, and Samoa, with a fourth opponent to be determined.

Their program continues on August 22 in Ottawa against USA, followed by a friendly against visiting Guinness Pro 12 side Glasgow Warriors in Halifax on August 29, their last on home soil before departing to England. On September 2nd they take on Georgia at Molesey Road in Esher, before their meeting with Fiji on September 6.

Canada’s World Cup tournament begins on September 19, as they take on Ireland at the Millenium Stadium in Cardiff. They are in Pool D, which also includes France, Italy, and Romania.
